What equipment is used to measure cholesterol?

Hi,
I recently got a piece of homework where you have to plan out a drugs (medicine) trial for a drug that lowered cholesterol levels. You had to choose equipment from a list – but I can’t find anything relating to measuring cholesterol.

Here are the things that I thought might be ‘it’
Blood Pressure monitor
Urine testing kit
Heart monitor
Peak flow meter
ECG Machine

So which would it be, and why?

cholesterol is measured in blood i.e u need to take some blood to measure it..it is a lab test…
